Top 10 trends in how we buy travel - World Travel Market 2011

At the WTM 2011 Phocuswright presented a new industry report on how mobile will transform the future of travel. The survey was carried out in France, Germany and the UK. The results of this survey are quiet revealing.
An important result for destination marketeers is the finding that travellers are using destinations websites less and less. This is because they a relying more on the information they are finding on review site and on sites of online travel agencies. This is a clear reminder that tourist boards should focus on supplying their information in places where the customers are, instead of expecting customers to come to their own site.
