This crowdsourced documentary was on Dutch TV last night and I thought it was magical. I had not heard before of this project or its final result, but I just love what director Kevin MacDonald has done. He asked people around the world to film what they were doing on July 24, 2010 and he received 80.000 clips from 192 countries totalling 4,500 hours of footage.
The final result is personal, human, emotional, it makes you laugh and it makes you cry, its shows you the differences and the sameness of humans around the world. But most of all, it's a great homage to this planet and the people living on it.
